For me it is a no. Last off season they said they were going to do big things to the roster and did squat basically. Carter and Quick need to go. Brown I would like to see traded as well since he might have some value now since he has done pretty good the past couple of seasons. Kopitar's salary will keep him in LA for a long time. To me, the Kings need a whole system change starting with management as well. Blake and Luc need to be replaced with people outside of the organization because it feels like nothing has changed much. The Kings are old, slow and big bodied which doesn't work too well now in today's NHL. I feel they should try and look for proven younger talent who has established themselves in the NHL and would help the new team once more of the old core get traded or bought out.

Are you happy with how much progress the Kings have made in their rebuild thus far? is the question I wanted to go over since I missed the poll.

1. Who were the takers for Carter, Quick, and Brown?
2. What returns would have been satisfactory for Carter, Quick, and Brown?
3. Who were the "proven younger talent who has established themselves in the NHL" which the Kings should have obtained?
4. What would the "proven younger talent who has established themselves in the NHL" have cost?

You can’t get rid of all the vets or you’ll end up like TOR. That team doesn’t have one legit leader. Tavares and Mathews can’t lead. They had to get outside help (muzzin and Clifford) to try and establish something of leadership.

If there were no trades that would have helped the kings then you don’t trade players like that. Carter will be gone eventually but I doubt Quick and brown will be gone unless it’s through the expansion.

Get over the hatred for Blake and luc. They’re doing fine.

Not sure what that guy is on. But Blake has done pretty well moving out assets to get younger and picks. They have even drafted pretty well. But it is a process. And a rebuild takes time. You cant expect him to move out our old guys for new young guns and just compete right away.
